The very first motorway service station pub has opened in the UK, just off the M40 near Beaconsfield.
The Wetherspoons pub, The Hope and Champion, says it’s opening has created more than 100 new jobs as it plans to be open between 4am-1am seven days a week and serving alcohol from 9am.
The move is controversial, with the RAC claiming that only 12% of people in a survey of 2,000 were supportive of service stations having pubs.
Forrest Williams, motoring law specialists, made our views about motorway service station pubs very clear in a blog post last year.
